Uddhav Thackeray admitted to Lilavati after chest pain

Mumbai, July 16 (IANS) Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray was admitted to Lilavati Hospital Monday morning after he complained of chest pain, a top party official said.

"He is undergoing some medical tests, but we are not sure what exactly is the problem. He may be discharged in a day or so," the official, declining to be identified, told IANS.

A team of doctors attending on Thackeray is expected to issue a medical bulletin later Monday, the official added.

An avid photographer, Thackeray, who will turn 52 later this month, is the son of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray and has been handling the party affairs since 2004.
