Hyderabad, July 12 (IANS) Keste, the US-based Oracle software solutions and development company, plans to expand its India operations with an investment of $2.5 million.

The company, which has its Indian Development Centre (IDC) in Hyderabad, is looking to double its headcount in the next 15 months. It currently has 75 employees at IDC in the IT hub of Hitec City.

Keste president and CEO Howard Moore told reporters here Thursday that the company would hire more talent for the IDC, which serves the customers not just in India but also in the US and Europe.

With the emerging markets in South Asia and the Middle East, the IDC is also reaching out to these geographies.

"In these times of economic slowdown, customers want the same level of service at better cost. We have to provide better value and hence we want to have more talent from India. This is our best hope for meeting economic needs of customers," he said.

The IDC, which opened in 2007, is aiming to have specialised skills. The centre already has the capabilities equal to or better than those at its Texas centre.

Keste, which had global revenues of $27 million in 2011, expects $30 million revenues during the current year. The IDC, which had revenues of $1.5 million last year, has set a target of $2 million.

The Dallas, Texas-headquartered firm has 100 customers, including 10 in India. Mereddy, director IDC, said the number of customers in India would be doubled this year.

Keste, which serves a leading telecom company in India, is looking for a big push in the telecom sector with its customised order management system.

"Mass customisation offering market is yet to be fully exploited. We have the expertise to deliver solutions for large telecom players," said Howard.

Keste also has the solutions for hitech, manufacturing and retail markets.
