Sydney, July 11 (ANI): Hundreds of mourners gathered to attend the funeral of Indian-origin man, Manoj Masih, in Liverpool, Australia, who lost his life on June 28.
According to Sydney Morning Herald, Masih, 33, was crushed to death after a 20-tonne container laden with timber fell off a truck and crushed his stationary car.
Masih was the father of an eight-month-old baby boy and his relatives wiped away the tears of his widow Rachal and cradled her as she sat distraught throughout the funeral in western Sydney.
She sobbed as Amazing Grace was played during his funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Leppington.
Many family members closed their eyes throughout the service and prayed for Masih's soul to rest in peace.
A friend Devender Singh said he and Masih eased their homesickness when they first moved to Australia by cooking and eating together.
"He always wanted to make people happy, " Singh said, adding: "The best thing I liked about Manoj was his attitude. He was always willing to help even though he had to sacrifice his own plans for us".
There were scenes showing Masih and his wife laughing, sharing meals, cuddling their son and posing with family during trips to Darling Harbour and the Zig Zag Railway.
Many wept at footage of Masih playing the guitar while Jason accompanied him on a plastic rattle.
"A loving husband, a loving son, an amazing father and a beloved friend," a message on the screen read.
"We will never forget you," the message added. (ANI)
