Musharraf calls for general elections under military supervision

Karachi, July 10 (ANI): All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) chief and former military ruler, Pervez Musharraf has said general elections in Pakistan should be held under military supervision to ensure that sincere and clean representatives are elected.

Musharraf said his countrymen are once again looking towards the military due to the deteriorating situation of the economy, and law and order in the country, reports the Daily Times.

"It is true that the constitution should be saved, but in present situation if constitution is saved, the country goes down", he said.

Musharraf reiterated that he will return to Pakistan before the general elections, adding that his party in particular and the public in general is anxiously waiting for his return, and that his party will actively participate in the upcoming general elections. (ANI)
