New Delhi, July 9 (ANI): Close on the heels of a letter written by former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Sanjay Joshi to the Home Ministry asking for protection as he feels his life is under threat, a barrage of e-mails has reportedly hit the common man's e-mail ID.
At present this mysterious e-mail has hit the mail IDs of journalists, BJP supporters and anti - Modi leaders.
Surprisingly, the e-mail is not directly targeting Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi , but the tone and tenor of the e-mail can be well understood, as it details the qualifications required for a Prime Minister.
The e-mail is being sent in the name of Dilip Pandey having the e-mail ID as mail2dilippandey@gmail.com . The e-mail begins with the headline of " Sune Aatma Ki Aawaz" that is please hear the voice of conscience.
The e-mail is full of praise for former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and it adds that a titanic personality like Vajpayee is capable of uniting all forces without creating any fissures between various sections of society.
The e-mail goes on to elaborate the Pan-India characteristic of Vajpayee. It says that though Atal Behari Vajpayee was born in Madhya Pradesh, he made Lucknow his " Karma-Kshetra" and was embraced by the entire country.
The e-mail also eulogize various projects undertaken by Vajpayee. It says the Kisan Credit Card, the Golden Quadrilateral Corridor project, the interlinking of rivers and some other projects undertaken by the Vajapyee government, was in fact, a project to unite cross sections of society and the entire country.
The only satire in the e-mail, which can be considered to be an indirect attack on aspiring Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is that " the country can accept only those persons to be the leader who has the capability of taking all sections of society with him.
The e-mail said that a "Sikandar" cannot be accepted which tramples every-body , demolishes all ideologies, and sacrifices his own comrade to achieve the goal. Clearly the indication is meant for Modi, who has recently got a pat from "estranged" Lal Krishna Advani.
The e-mail ends with a picture of Joshi and Vajpayee juxtaposed with the couplet in Hindi " Hum Toh Dariya Hain, Hamein Apna Hunar Maloom Hai; Chal Parenge Hum Jidhar , Raaste Ban Jayenge." By Pankaj Choudhary (ANI)
