Four armed kidnappers killed by security forces in S W Pakistan

Islamabad, July 8 (Xinhua-ANI): At least four people were killed during an exchange of fire between security forces and armed kidnappers in southwest Pakistan's Mastung area on Sunday morning, reported local Urdu TV channel ARY.

According to local media reports, the incident took place when security forces tried to a free a doctor kidnapped by six armed people in the afore-said area, which is about 60 kilometers south of Quetta, capital of Balochistan province.

Armed kidnappers opened fire at the security forces when they tried to free the abducted doctor whose identity is not known at this point, said local media.

During the exchange of fire, four out of the six kidnappers were killed and the remaining two were arrested in an injured state.

There is no mention of the casualties on the side of the security forces during the incident by the local media. (Xinhua-ANI)
