Ghaziabad, July 5 (ANI): Team Anna member Manish Sisodia said here on Thursday that their scheduled protest would be held despite the denial of permission to fast at Jantar Mantar by Delhi police.

Interacting with reporters, a defiant Sisodia termed Delhi police's refusal "ironical" and "surprising," before announcing that the fast would be held as per the schedule.

"This is ironical because we have been agitating against allegations of corruption against 15 ministers and Chidambaram is one of them. This is surprising that Delhi police that reports to Chidambaram is saying no. The protest will go on, 25th July is still on. The Delhi police, or corrupt minister or other government officials can't stop us," he said.

He said that the police offered "mutual arrangement" to Hazare's team, details of which shall be worked out.

"The police have mentioned in the letter to us that they are ready for a mutual arrangement. So we will talk to them and ask the details. They anyway cannot stop the protest," Sisodia added. (ANI)
