Sydney, July 5 (ANI): The wife of convicted triple murderer Max Sica, who has been sentenced to a minimum of 35 years for killing three Singh siblings, has said that her husband remains in 'high spirits' and would appeal the verdict immediately.

Sica was found guilty of killing his former girlfriend Neelma Singh, 24, and her siblings Kunal, 18, and Sidhi, 12, at their Brisbane home in April 2003.

Shivanjani Sica said that her husband would continue to defend these charges.

"I, along with Max's family, are naturally disappointed in the verdict. There is so much I could say about the trial and the case in general but I will leave these comments to the appeal process, which we will be commencing immediately," The Courier Mail quoted Shivanjani, as saying.

"Max remains in high spirits and has encouraged me to keep my eyes on the end goal, which is the day all will know the truth. He maintains his faith in the justice system and genuinely believes that the truth will be told and his innocence affirmed," she added.

According to the report, Shivanjani said it was "our personal faith that keeps us motivated to continue the fight for justice."

"Max and I hold on to the Bible verse that says, 'Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see'," she said.

"I would like to thank our legal team and those who have supported Max and the family through this time. I ask those people to remain steadfast as the battle continues," she added. (ANI)
