Srikakulam factory fire victims recovering in hospital

Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh), July 1 (ANI): Injured victims of a factory fire in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, are receiving treatment for their injuries at the Rajiv Institute of Medical Sciences.

According to a medical bulletin issued by the hospital, 17 persons are receiving treatment.

It may be recalled at the fire engulfed the agro-chemical plant late on Saturday and injured several persons.

The Nagarjuna Agro-Chemicals Factory caught fire after a blast took place inside the plant. It later spread quickly across the entire area. The factory manufactures pesticides like Monocrotophos.

More than five fire tenders were rushed to douse the inferno.

Reportedly, around 200 employees were present at the plant when the fire broke out. (ANI)
