Karnataka CM Gowda discusses Budget Session with Governor Bharadwaj

Bangalore, June 30 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister D. V. Sadananda Gowda, who discussed the Budget Session with Governor H.R. Bharadwaj at the Raj Bhavan here today, expressed hope that the Financial Bill will be passed by the second or third week of this month.

"Practically, today I came to Governor's House to have discussions with the Governor with regard to the Budget Session. Budget Session in the sense (that) I should get the approval for the Financial Bill. That is the need of the hour. There is a drought situation across the state; it has become so severe so we need more money," Gowda told the media here after meeting Governor Bharadwaj.

"And even more for payment of salaries and other things for the government employees, the Financial Bill needs to be passed. For that reason, I want to fix up a date and I want to get the Financial Bill cleared," he added.

Gowda further said that he would also hold discussions with the opposition parties with regard to the Financial Bill on July 16.

"I had a detailed discussion with the Governor, and most probably on 16th likely I have to consult my opposition leaders also. By second or third week we will have a session wherein the Financial Bill will be passed," he said. (ANI)
