Sonata Software expands US operations

Bangalore, June 20 (IANS) Leading IT solutions provider Sonata Software Ltd. has expanded operations in the United States as part of its strategy to grow in new markets, verticals and horizontal services.

"We are setting up dedicated services-based centres of excellence in the east coast and mid-west geographies across the US to focus on transformational outsourcing and revenue growth in a major market," Sonata chief executive Srikar Reddy said in a statement Wednesday.

To lead the expanding operations, the Bangalore-based company has appointed Francis Thomas and Pradeep Malgireddy as sales directors in the twin geographies of east coast and mid-west.

"We are expanding in the strategic markets of the US and Britain, which are vital to the sustainable growth of our business. Both Francis and Pradeep bring a wealth of sales and customer-facing experiences, which will be critical to our growth aspirations in the US geography," Reddy said.

With two decades of sales experience in the US, Francis worked earlier at Sun Microsystems, Tandem Computers and Unisys, while Pradeep had 16 years of stint in India and the US with Patni Computers, Satyam and Mphasis.
