London, Jun 15 (ANI): Featherstone Rovers star Liam Finn created rugby league history by breaking the world record for goal kicking.
Finn slotted over his 39th consecutive goal when he converted James Lockwood's try in their Northern Rail Cup win at Keighley.
That took him past Barry Eaton?'s mark of 38 goals set in 2003, The Sun reports.
Finn kicked his last four against York on May 19, then eight against French side Pia, nine at Hunslet and 10 against Dewsbury on Sunday.
Finn, 28, is set to captain Ireland against England Knights on Saturday as they build up towards next year's World Cup.
He said: " It's not something I tried to think about but it was hard to avoid with that many people telling me. I tried to put it to the back of my mind and wasn't too bothered until the record got close. The boys helped me out by scoring a lot of tries near the posts!" (ANI)
