Kathmandu, June 13 (Xinhua-ANI): Nepal's Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai launched a program on Wednesday to spend at least one night a month in a rural settlement of the country to interact with the local people, representatives of political parties, civil society members and social activists.

"On Wednesday, the prime minister will hold interaction with the local people in a village on the outskirts of the capital and spend a night there," said a statement issued by his office.

"The prime minister decided to visit at least one village in a month to have firsthand experience about people's problems at the grassroots and collect their feedback," the PM's aide Bishwodeep Pandey said.

During his stay, the PM will hold interaction with people from different occupations and listen to their grievances and complaints, and seek their feedback.

The PM wants to become "a people's PM" so he decided to hold interaction with the public, said Pandey.

The new move will provide the prime minister with an opportunity to get people's feedback and suggestions on many issues including the latest political developments and economic advancement. (Xinhua-ANI)
