Carrie Underwood stands up for same sex marriages

Washington, June 10 (ANI): Carrie Underwood has voiced her support for the LGBT community and the current controversy surrounding gay marriage.

The country singer, who showed her sympathy for the cause, claimed that people have their right to love whomsoever they want to.

"I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

In an interview to the Independent, the singer revealed that she couldn't imagine the feeling of not being able to marry someone she loves.

"As a married person myself, I don't know what it's like to be told I can't marry somebody I love, and want to marry," she added. (ANI)
