New Delhi, June 9 (IANS) Three people, including a woman, were arrested in connection with trafficking of a 42-year-old Delhi woman who was rescued from Ghaziabad, Delhi Police said Saturday.

The woman, a domestic help and mother of two children living in north Delhi's Mangolpuri, was rescued Saturday. She was missing since April 20.

Those arrested have been identified as Kamla, Jeet Ram and Rajbir.

The woman's son told police in a complaint June 5 about Kamla, with whom his mother had left for Palwal in Haryana two months ago.

Police arrested Kamla from Mangolpuri Friday.

During interrogation, Kamla told police that she along with Vijay took the victim to Palwal April 20 on the pretext of getting her a two-day work in a house.

She said that they handed over the woman to Jeet Ram, who further "sold" her to Rajbir for Rs.30,000.

"Rajbir took the victim to his house and locked her up. He also raped her," said a police officer.

"We arrested Rajbir Saturday from his house in Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) and rescued the victim," he added.

Vijay is on the run and yet to be arrested.
