Man hammers two minor daughters to death in UP

Lucknow, June 9 (IANS) A man hammered his two minor daughters to death Saturday in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district, police said. He was arrested.

Khushnuma, 9, and Saba Parveen, 6, were killed by their father Haseeb alias Guddu, a resident of Saray Sujan area of Tirva in Kannauj. Home department officials said Guddu admitted to the killings.

Haseeb attacked the girls with a hammer and kept hitting them on the head till they were dead. He told the police that he killed the two daughters as he himself wanted to commit suicide. He declined to say more, police said.
