Sanjay Joshi's resignation won't affect the state executive meet: BJP
Rajkot (Gujarat), June 9 (ANI): Gujarat regional secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Vijay Rupani on Saturday said the two-day state executive meet would not be affected by the resignation of former party general secretary, Sanjay Joshi.
" I believe that the BJP unity in Gujarat will not be affected by his (Sanjay Joshi's) resignation. The workers and leaders of Gujarat BJP have always been loyal with the party and not with any particular leader," Rupani told mediapersons here, while announcing that the meet, being held ahead of the legislative polls, would target the Congress party.
"In our meeting we will attack Congress, and discuss price rise and how Congress government has failed to curb inflation. We will also discuss the Congress's involvement in several scams and corruption," he said.
The BJP on Friday had confirmed Joshi's resignation.
According to sources, Joshi would be rejoining the RSS, where he along with another stalwart Suresh Soni will be the coordinators between the RSS and BJP and would decide the party's future strategy from organizational point of view. (ANI)
