Abramovich puts 'unfinished' London mansion on sale for staggering 70 m pounds

London, June 9 (ANI): Billionaire Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has put his London mansion on sale for a staggering 70 million pounds, despite it being unfinished.
The Russian oligarch, who has spent the past decade buying up nine flats across two buildings in the exclusive Lowndes Square, had plans to turn the properties into one of the capital's finest homes, but now has turned down the idea after the planning permission for the property expired.
The mansion, which is located close to London's Harrod's, will reportedly cost a buyer an extra 15 million pounds to renovate the house.
According to the Daily Mail, the two properties on Lowndes Square were split into nine flats in 1998 with Abramovich, a then unknown billionaire, buying a maisonette within the building.
Over the next few years he is rumoured have spent over 35 million pounds, acquiring all the properties with the hope of turning it into a 30,000sq ft palace.
Knightsbridge-based Iles Property is understood to be marketing Abramovich's unfinished project, but the luxury estate agent refused to comment.ndustry experts claim anyone who would buy the house would have spend up to 1,000 pounds per sq ft, for fixing the property. (ANI)
