PDP organizes protest rally in Jammu

Jammu, June 8 (ANI): People's Democratic Party (PDP) organised a protest rally against the continuous electricity deficit and lack of water supply, here on Friday.

Interacting with reporters, the protesters said that authorities have failed to provide basic water and electricity requirements.

"Our protest is against the ill practices and governance policies of the Central and state governments. The temperature has touched almost 45 degree Celsius, inspite of that we are not being provided 24 hours electricity. We have rampant power cuts and we only receive electricity three hours a day. I believe this is injustice with the people of the state," Ved Mahajan, a PDP leader, said.

Protesters hit out at Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for ineffective governance.

"I believe there is no one in the state as fake as its own chief minister. He is highly ineffective and his policies are never applied for the benefit of the people. Omar Abdullah has no say in the state, he is good for nothing. No one is ready to listen to what he has to say, he is highly ineffective," PDP leader, Fallail Singh said.

Protesters added that they would collaborate with people in rural regions and intensify the agitation by spreading it in the entire state. (ANI)
