Islamabad, June 8 (IANS) The Pakistani government may launch a major anti-terror operation in the country after Friday's deadly bus bomb attack, a media report said.
Information Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Iftikhar Hussain has warned that the security forces would launch a major anti-insurgency operation in the region, Xinhua quoted the local Urdu channel Geo TV as saying.
His remarks came after at least 21 people died in a bomb attack on a bus carrying government employees in Peshawar, provincial capital. Over 40 others were injured.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has condemned the blast. The "cowardly act" cannot weaken the resolve of the government to fight terrorism, Gilani said.
