Chinese paraglider dies in accident

Fuyang (China), June 5 (IANS) A member of the Chinese paragliding team died in a training accident here, an official said.

Yang Xiaoqiang, 20, plunged to the ground from 100 meters when his paraglider malfunctioned, Xinhua quoted the official as saying.

Yang, born in central China's Hubei Province, joined the national team last June and claimed a silver medal in the 2011 World Paragliding Championships in the Czech Republic.
