Ghazibad court to commence trial of Aarushi murder case

Ghaziabad, June 4 (ANI): The trial of the 2008-double murder of Aarushi Talwar and her domestic help Hemraj will begin at the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court, here on Monday.

Aarushi's parents and prime suspects, dentist couple Nupur and Rajesh Talwar were, earlier charged with murder and destruction of evidence by the court on May 24.

The court's decision had come after the Talwars' counsel produced a golf club to dispute allegations that the couple used a similar club to kill Aarushi and Hemraj in the sensational twin murder.

Earlier, on Thursday, the Allahabad High Court had rejected Dr. Nupur Talwar's bail plea, and charged her with murder and destruction of evidence.

Nupur Talwar was arrested on April 30 and has been lodged in Ghaziabad's Dasna jail.

Aarushi, 14, was found dead with her throat slit at her Noida residence on May 16, 2008 and the body of Hemraj was recovered from the terrace a day later. (ANI)
