New York, June 4 (ANI): Elisabetta Canalis, who had famously dated George Clooney, insists that she doesn't feel her relationship with Steve-O is 'over yet.'

Despite being dumped by the MTV 'Jackass' star just a month back, the Italian beauty is still hung up on her most recent ex.

"That relationship is over, it's all in the past," the New York Daily quoted her as telling Italy's A magazine of her high-profile love affair with George Clooney.

"Every time I say something about it, it gets blown all out of proportion," she said.

By contrast, however, the model only had glowing things to say about her former reality star beau.

"Steve has a lot of strength and humor," she said.

"It was one of the most important relationships of my life and it doesn't feel as if it is over yet," she said.

The MTV star, 37, reportedly dumped Canalis, 33, in April after he couldn't put up with her hard-partying ways.

Steve-O, who has been sober since 2008, reportedly told the model that her lifestyle just wasn't conducive to a recovering drug addict, and called off the relationship just four months in.

"He still really cares about her but can't risk relapsing back into his old ways, so he had to cut her loose," Radar Online had quoted a source as saying at the time.

"He is an open wound," Canalis told the magazine of recognizing the reasoning behind the breakup.

"He was in a fragile state, and I came into his life like a tractor.

"If I went out with my friends, even the fact that a bottle of wine was on the table would be a stress."

According to the publication, however, she would still be open to "try again" with the relationship - with some adjustments to her temper.

"American men are more open, they are readier to express their emotions, but they also get frightened easily," she said.

"Italians are used to drama. For us, arguing, shouting is perfectly normal - for them it is inconceivable," she added. (ANI)
