'Forgotten' England fast bowler Tremlett eager to put injury behind him

London, Jun 3(ANI): England fast bowler Chris Tremlett, who has largely stayed out of the team due to injury problems, is eager to make a comeback to the team.

Tremlett, who has just played one Test over the last year after a back injury forced him to fly home early from England's series against Pakistan in Dubai back in January, would return to cricket with country action for his team Surrey.

He has since had surgery and returned to Second XI duty with his county on Friday, and now hopes to be fit to take on South Africa in the second half of England's Test match summer.

"It is a little bit make or break and if the injury does come back then it could -become a little bit more -serious," The Daily Mirror quoted Tremlett, as saying.

"If you're out of the game for a long time then -people do seem to -forget about you. It's -important that I get the -timing of this right and make sure that I get this -injury right and get back to bowling the way I can do as quick as I can," he added.

"It's a tricky situation to be in but in terms of -getting back into the team I've got to control what I can -control and not think about it too much. But if I'm not back in the England side any time soon then who knows what's -going to happen," he said. (ANI)
