Hot day in Delhi, dust storm likely

New Delhi, June 2 (IANS) It was a hot and sunny morning in the capital Saturday with the minimum temperature settling six notches above average at 33.2 degrees Celsius. The Met department has forecast dust storms towards the evening. The maximum temperature is expected to shoot 44.4 degrees Celsius.

"Mainly clear sky, likely to become partly cloudy towards evening/night. Dust storms could occur towards night," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

"The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 44.4 degrees Celsius," the IMD official added.

Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 41 percent.

Friday's maximum temperature settled at 43 degrees Celsius, three notches above the average, while the minimum was 34.3 degrees Celsius, seven notches above the average.
