London, May 31(ANI): Manchester United's veteran midfielder Paul Scholes and talented young goalkeeper Ben Amos have signed new contracts with the club.

Scholes signed a one-year year deal after verifying his earlier decision to continue playing, The Telegraph reports.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is aware that this might be Scholes' last year of football, but he is of the belief that the veteran midfielder can still have a similar impact next season.

Amos signed a new three deal, which would keep him at the club till 2015. Amos featured for United in their three Carling Cup outings last season and made his Premier League debut in January's win over Stoke City.

The goalkeeper has had loan spells with the Norwegian side Molde, Peterborough and Oldham. (ANI)
