Lalu, Mulayam condemn attack on Anna's convoy in Nagpur (Update)

New Delhi/Nagpur, May 16 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday condemned the attack on veteran social activist Anna Hazare's convoy in Nagpur.

"If such an incident has taken plane then I condemn it. People will bad mentality might have done this. This is very bad for the democracy. And whoever has done this is not correct," said Yadav.

Rashtriya Lokmanch Party President Amar Singh also echoed similar sentiments on the issue, saying this might be the work of some people having bad mindset.

"The attack on Anna's cavalcade is very sad. There is no reason behind the attack on Anna's car. It is the work of all those people, who want to suppress Anna Hazare's voice. There is a way of protest. I once again say the same about Anna Hazare that his views are fine, but he should come up with an option," he said.

Unknown assailants pelted stones on Hazare's car in Nagpur earlier this evening. Hazare, however, escaped unhurt. (ANI)
