Obama's daughter Malia finds him 'right amount of embarrassing'

London, May 16 (ANI): Barack Obama has revealed that during a "private roast" given to him by his family on his 50th birthday, his eldest daughter Malia told him in front of friends and family that he was "just the right amount of embarrassing", sparking laughter all round.

The 44th President of the US had has previously admitted he has banned his daughters from Facebook because he does not want "strangers knowing our business".

During an interview with ABC's 'The View', he gave a new insight into his tough parenting regime.

He said that that he made his eldest daughter wait until she was 12 before allowing her to have a cell phone.

The President said that he finally agreed to give 13-year-old Malia a mobile last year but banned her from using it during the week.

His youngest daughter Sasha, nine, has been told she must wait before being given the same privilege.

Obama also revealed how he and wife Michelle keep their daughters in check and try not to spoil them

During the week neither of the Presidential daughters can use their computers or watch TV for anything except homework either, he added.

"Malia didn't get a phone until last year, so Sasha still doesn't have one," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

"They can only use their cellphones on weekends. They can't use them during the week. We don't let them watch TV or use their computer except to do homework during the week," he said.

Mr Obama admitted that he was often the subject of jokes and that his family did not spare him just because of his job.

"When I turned 50 Malia and Sasha and a bunch of my friends and Michelle had this sort of like a roast, a private roast, each one of them read something.

"Malia and Sasha had written out why I'm such a wonderful dad, they had this list, it was so sweet.

"One of the items on the list was you're just the right amount of embarrassing'. You're embarrassing but not too embarrassing," he added. (ANI)
