Now, hackers target UK's Leveson Inquiry, Information Commissioner Office websites

London, May 15 (ANI): A group linked with the notorious Internet hacking collective Anonymous has attacked the websites of the UK's Leveson Inquiry and the Information Commissioner.
The website of the Leveson Inquiry into media ethics, was offline for around half an hour while Tony Blair's former Press chief Alastair Campbell was giving evidence.
According to The Telegraph, a group calling itself the 'Anon Ateam' said on Twitter that it had launched the attack 'in protest against the corruption within the Leveson Inquiry'.
The Anon Ateam described 'OpLeveson' with a series of allegations about the handling of the Leveson Inquiry and the behaviour of Culture Minister Jeremy Hunt.
According to the report, the same group claimed responsibility for recent attacks on the websites of the Information Commissioner's Office ICO, the Supreme Court and Theresa May, the Home Secretary.
Those attacks were said to be in protest against Britain's extradition policy. (ANI)
