London, May 15 (ANI): Adele has reached another milestone of her career, as she's become the fourth British star in five years to record the world's biggest-selling album.

In the 67 weeks since it was first released, '21' has sold more than 18 million copies around the globe, which is 1.6 per cent of all album sales, the Daily Express reported.

It means she follows her fellow Brits Amy Winehouse, Coldplay and Susan Boyle, who have all topped the international album sales chart since 2007.

The 24-year-old singer has the world's biggest-selling album of the past year.

Brits have reigned at the top of the international albums chart recently - four out of the past five years have seen a star from the UK at No.1.

Amy Winehouse, Coldplay and Susan Boyle have all held the top spot. (ANI)
