Jodhpur, May 12(ANI): Staking his claim on the Guinness Book of World records, a city teen made a 105 feet and 2 inches long necklace in an hour.
Ajay Parekh, 13, beaded 1596 stone beads in his marathon attempt.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Parekh said he had to toil hard for attempting the record.
"For the past three years, I have been practising 3-4 hours a day. I have been working hard and today I have tried to break the record of making a necklace with beads," said Parekh.
He said he was inspired by his father, Ashok Parekh to attempt the world record.
Ashok Parekh, who had made a similar record in 2005 felt elated over his son's victory.
"I am pleased to say that the record that was created by me of making a necklace of 19 feet in one hour, was broken by another a person hailing from Bangalore as he made a necklace of 64 feet and 2 inches but this time my son has created a record of making a necklace of 105 feet and 9 inches. He has laid claim to the Guinness Book of World records. I hope that this would be announced by the Guinness Book of World records soon," said Parekh. (ANI)
