Washington, May 12 (ANI): A pilot was arrested after he flew into the restricted airspace reserved for President Barack Obama's departure from Los Angeles.

According to News.com.au, the man was arrested after being interrogated by Secret Service agents at El Monte Airport, where his small plane was captured shortly before 10:00 a.m. local time.

A statement released by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said, "The fighters responded to a temporary flight restriction violation by a Piper 28 aircraft. After intercepting the aircraft, the F-16s followed it until it landed without incident, at approximately [9:50am PST] where the plane was met by local law enforcement,"

Although, the pilot was not identified, sources claimed that the man had violated the airspace restrictions accidentally.

Obama flew out of the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in his Air Force One, after spending Thursday night at his 15 million dollar fundraising dinner, hosted by Hollywood actor George Clooney at his home. (ANI)
