NHRC to hear complaints of Gujarat's scheduled castes

New Delhi, May 11 (IANS) A National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) team will hear on May 14-15 complaints about atrocities against scheduled castes in Gujarat.

 

 

 

The team, headed by NHRC chairman K.G. Balakrishnan, will also discuss in Ahmedabad problems faced by the victims in seeking justice from the Gujarat government.

 

 

It will also meet the state's chief secretary, its director general of police, other senior government officials and representatives of non-governmental organisations to discuss the human rights situation in the state.
