Thierry Henry's 'fish tank' plan leaves neighbour Tom Conti fuming

London, May 11 (ANI): Actor Tom Conti has criticized legendary French footballer Thierry Henry's plans to demolish his house to build a 40 feet fish tank.

According to The Telegraph, Conti said there would be an absolute nightmare disruption if the Camden Council, which is set to consider Henry's bold multi-million pound project at a meeting, approved Henry's plan to demolish his house.

Henry's north London house was designed by former president of Royal British Architects, Sir Richard MacCormac.

Conti, whose garden is on the backside of Henry's home, and seven other neighbours have urged the planning officials to disapprove Henry's plan to demolish his house.

Henry's spectacular 25,000-litre aquarium would spiral all the way from a swimming pool, bar and cinema in the basement to the master bedroom on the second floor.

Conti, 70, said: 'If someone wants a larger house why do they not just buy one somewhere else?'

'The noise will just be colossal because he will have to drill down for his basement', Conti added.

'It's an absolute nightmare. The problem is he wants to build this enormous fish tank and I suppose he is going to have to build a whole new house so he can house that,' he added.

The highly-influential Heath and Hampstead Society has also lodged objections against Henry, 34, knocking down his house, which is next door to a Grade II-listed home.

An angry society spokesman branded his scheme 'over-bulky, ungainly, squat in proportion, lumpish and with no style or elegance'.

Henry claims his house is in a dilapidated condition and is no longer 'fit as a family home', according to his architects.
