London, May 11(ANI): Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson would need to around 100 million pounds to keep bitter rivals Manchester City on the radar.

According to an article in The Sun by Steven Howard, if Ferguson fails to stop Robert Mancini's men, then it would pave way for the creation of football's next dynasty.

United's latest yearly accounts revealed revenue streams had grown to a record 331 million pounds and an operating profit of 110 million pounds.

But around half of this revenue had gone in paying interest on debt.

United's American owners, the Glazers made over 50 million available to Ferguson last summer to buy David De Gea, Phil Jones and Ashley Young, but the wily Scot will require a figure of almost double that to bring in new signings to bolster the club.

Bayern Munich duo of Franck Ribery and Bastian Schweinsteiger, Tottenham Hotspurs duo of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale along with Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder are United's primary targets.

The players he wants may well chose City due to their heavy pay packages like with Samir Nasri last summer, and as we are seeing with Lille's highly-rated midfield star Eden Hazard. (ANI)
