Washington, May 10 (ANI): Ben Affleck has revealed that he was made to walk an imaginary dog "for weeks" as a child to prove himself responsible enough to own a pooch.
The 39-year-old actor admitted that as a child, he was desperate to have his own pet pooch, but his mother Chris wasn't convinced he would care for an animal, so she made him take out a fictitious canine to prove he would be responsible for the pet.
Ben's mother Chris admits that she was very strict with Ben and his siblings.
"My conservative parenting style wasn't always easy on them. Ben wanted a dog. I made him walk an imaginary dog for weeks to prove he could take care of it." Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
However the 'Good will Hunting star' has nothing but praises for his mother.
"My sweet kind mother brought out my female side - empathy, consideration, manners, humility, lack of pretension." He added. (ANI)
