Nicole Scherzinger to play Mary Magdalene in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' tour

London, MAY 10 (ANI): Nicole Scherzinger is all set to star as Mary Magdalene in the UK tour of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.

The girlfriend of Formula 1 driver, Lewis Hamilton will be acting in a new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber alongside Tim Minchin as Judas Iscariot.

The lead role of Jesus will be handed to the winner of Webber's latest TV talent contest Superstar.

The show follows Webber's previous theatre-themed star searches such as I'd Do Anything, which found a lead for a West End production of Oliver!, and Any Dream Will Do, which discovered an actor to play the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. (ANI)
