Pak Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif says 'friendship only option for India

Islamabad, May 9 (ANI): Pakistan Punjab's Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that friendship is the only option for India and Pakistan.

He stressed that both countries needed to work together to eliminate problems such as hunger and poverty from the region.

According to The News, his remarks on India came while addressing a two-day Pak-India economic conference in Lahore under the joint initiative of the Jang Group and the Times of India.

Sharif, like Imran Khan earlier, pointed out the importance of improving relations with India.

Khan had said that Pakistan and India needed to trust each other in order to progress, and added that the time has come to see a change in the bilateral relationship. (ANI)
