1,200 Chinese died of infectious diseases in April

Beijing, May 9 (IANS) Over 1,200 people died in China last month due to infectious diseases like hepatitis, tuberculosis and syphilis, the government said Wednesday.
A total of 692,625 cases were reported in April, with 1,235 deaths, Xinhua reported citing the health ministry.
The five most frequently reported diseases were hepatitis, tuberculosis, syphilis, dysentery and gonorrhoea.
