Rain frustrates Windies again ahead of Test series against England

London, May 9 (ANI): West Indies' attempts to get in some meaningful practice ahead of the first cricket Test against England in a fortnight were dashed by rain as their tour opener against Sussex ended in a draw on Monday.

Bad weather meant a three-day match at the south coast county's Hove headquarters produced just 34 overs in total, with the West Indies closing on 3-90.

According to a Sydney Morning Herald report, some of the Windies players are wrestling with injury problems, but the team management is hoping that everything will fall into place before the four-day match against the England Lions, the national second string side, at Northampton starting tomorrow.

The first Test between the two sides will take place at Lord's from May 17. (ANI)
