Ferguson believes playing more 'Italian' could have landed Man U Premier League title
London, May 8(ANI): Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said his team would have won the Premier League title if they had played the Italian way like Roberto Mancini does for title rivals Manchester City.
United let slip 3-1 and 4-2 leads to draw 4-4 at home to Everton, which is now playing a crucial role in the title race.
Ferguson was pointing out towards his team's 1-0 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, when Mancini introduced five defenders after taking the lead through captain Vincent Kompany's header.
"In the end we just ran out of time, as Mancini made changes to give him five at the back. It's the Italian mentality - and maybe we should sometimes go down that road," The Sun quoted Ferguson, as saying.
"We could certainly have done with bolting up the game against Everton. If we had done just a fraction of what City did, I would probably be saying quite a different thing," he added. (ANI)
