London, May 7 (ANI): Chelsea skipper John Terry believes that Robert Di Matteo may be appointed Chelsea's full time manager, if he helps the club bag the Champions League trophy, one which is deeply desired by Roman Abramovich.

"We can make it very easy for the board because he's been exceptional. It's a decision the board are going to make and hopefully with this win we can go on and achieve greatness in this club," the Daily Star quoted Terry, as saying.

The Italian has managed to revive Chelsea's performance and has built up an impressive case for being considered as Andre Villas-Boas' long-term successor.i Matteo steered the Blues to FA Cup glory against Liverpool on Saturday and could gain another victory when Chelsea faces Munich in the Champions League Final on May 19.
