Sunny Friday in Delhi, hot Saturday in store

New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) The skies were clear and sunny in the capital Friday with the maximum temperature settling at 38.7 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.

The day's minimum temperature was three notches below average at 21.6 degrees Celsius while the humidity levels wavered between a high of 69 and a low of 29 percent, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the IMD, the weather will be similar Saturday with partly cloudy skies. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 38 and 22 degrees Celsius.

Thursday's maximum temperature was a notch below normal at 37.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature dipped three notches below normal to 21.4 degrees Celsius.
