My view on spirituality has changed, says Akshay

Mumbai, April 30 (ANI): Akshay Kumar, who is known to be quite traditional and a staunch believer of rituals, has a different way of communicating with God now.

The reason for this change in the 'Khiladi' of tinsel town is Paresh Rawal's play Kishan Vs Kanhaiya.

"After I saw Paresh's play, my view on spirituality and my way of looking at God has changed," Akki was quoted as telling TOI.

Akshay, who visits Vaishno Devi and makes sure that he donates at least five lakh rupees each year, has a different perception on spirituality now.

"Every year I used to go to Vaishno Devi and spend at least five lakh rupees, get darshan and come back. This play has taught me another way of praying to God. Now if I feel like visiting Vaishno Devi I stand outside a cancer hospital in Mumbai and give one lakh rupees each to five needy families. This way I get Vaishno Devi's darshan five times. I don't understand when people say that they are God-fearing. He doesn't want us to fear but love him," he added. (ANI)
