Briton strangles wife

London, April 11 (IANS) A Briton has been jailed for 16 years for strangling his wife when she tried to end their 14-year relationship. He had also throttled his ex-wife 22 years ago.

John Doyle, 54, murdered Sian Rees, 50, after flying into a drunken rage. He stabbed and choked her at their home in June last year when he learned she had formed an internet friendship with a man, the Sun reported.

Doyle strapped her body into his van and headed to dispose of it. But he crashed and was arrested.
