Melbourne, Mar.17 (ANI): McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time in today's practice for the Australian Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne.

According to The Age, the Briton edged out Lotus driver Romain Grosjean and Australia's Mark Webber as world champion Sebastian Vettel spun out into a gravel trap.

Australian rookie Daniel RIcciardo was 10th fastest in a session held under blue skies and without the rain that marred yesterday's practice runs.

Qualifying is scheduled for later this afternoon at 5 p.m. Melbourne time, ahead of tomorrow's season-opening race. (ANI)
