Islamabad, Wed, 07 Mar 2012 ANI

Islamabad, Mar 7 (ANI): Hindus living in Pakistan reportedly want to return to India, as they are reportedly terrified about a rise in the killings and kidnappings of the community members.

A resident of Kashmore, a district in north Sindh, said that Mohammad Ali Jinnah might have promised to protect religious minorities in Pakistan, but sixty years after independence, the situation, in areas like Kashmore, remain unbearable.

"The situation is getting worse every day," the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.

Hindus make up 2.5 percent of the 174 million people living in Pakistan, reports suggest that over 90 percent the wealthy Hindus live in Sindh, where they become easy targets for criminal gangs. (ANI)
