Mancini hits back at Tevez for his 'treated like a dog' comment
London, Feb 16(ANI): Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has hit back at errant striker Carlos Tevez's claim that he was treated like a dog by him.
On the contrary of what Tevez claimed, Mancini said he in fact treated him 'too well'.
The City boss was infuriated at Tevez's comment and issued a ban on any more discussions on the Tevez saga till the end of the season,
"I don't want to answer questions about Carlos because this game is more important," The Telegraph quoted Mancini, as saying.
He said he completely differs from Tevez's claim and he actually treated him too well.
"But I totally disagree with Carlos and what he says. I have not treated him badly. Maybe the opposite of this. I treated him too well. Always. This is the last time I will answer and questions about him for three months," he said.
Tevez's hope of a return to field is seemingly in tatters after Mancini's reacted irately to his outrageous claim.
A close source to Mancini has revealed he and the staff have been hurt by Tevez's contemptible claim.
"The manager is a very forgiving person and he was willing to open the door again for Carlos - if he said sorry. But he was hurt by what was said in the interview - a lot of the staff were hurt by it," the source revealed. (ANI)
