Perth, Feb 7 (ANI): Australian one-day cricketer David Hussey (34) still holds out hope of making his Test debut.
The 34-year-old starred in the one-day win over India on Sunday at the MCG, smashing an unbeaten 61 from 31 balls.
Hussey said he has probably survived 14 axing attempts from the Australian team during his career and he now takes nothing for granted.
He also hopes to convince selectors that he deserves to join older brother Mike as a Test player, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
"Every innings is like the last innings for me," he said.
"Hopefully, I can contribute to team success and you never know, if your name pops up at the right time you might get that chance of playing Test cricket ... which should be everybody's goal," Hussey said.
Australia's next match in this tri-series will be against Sri Lanka on Friday in Perth. (ANI)
