Rio Ferdinand claims vile chants inspired Man U
London, Feb 6(ANI): Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has said the vile chants against him during their Sunday Premier League match against Chelsea inspired United to perform well.
Chelsea fans throughout the match constantly jeered him and subjected him to vile chants of 'Rio Ferdinand, you brother's a c***.'
Ferdinand replied to the Chelsea fans through his Twitter account and thanked them for inspiring his team, The Sun reports.
"I got booed by the CFC fans today - well done guys. Thanks for inspiring me and the lads! That's like fuel to me! TeamSpirit," Ferdinand tweeted.
Ferdinand's brother Anton is at the center of the John Terry race row, which led to the Chelsea skipper being stripped of the England captaincy last week. (ANI)
